In some Punjabi part’s, after the doli reaches the house of bridegroom.
Newly wed bride is given “khichdi” to eat.
It is preparation of rice and chana dal.
It is considered a “sagun”.
Then it is followed by “Gunna khelene”.
Gunna means (multiply).
Small sweet cylindrical balls made of jaggery(gur) doughed in atta are made.
Every member of the family plays with the newly wed bride.
Newly wed fills her palms with “gunnas” and then she gave it to the other member.
Then member gives her vice-versa.
This thing is repeated seven times.
In the end, newly wed is given some gift by the member and newly wed gives some money to member.
Blessing to newly wed are given to extend her family and to have lot of sons.
