Reductil works by blocking the re-uptake of certain neurotransmitters which influence satiety during and after eating. This should mean that patients being treated with Reductil will feel satisfied with less food, thereby eating less than normal. To some extent, Reductil also attenuates the slow down in the body’s metabolism which sometimes accompanies weight loss, making it easier for your body to burn calories.
