Wrapped in fog, the city bid adieu to 2009 in a cold manner. The maximum temperature dropped to 19 degrees Celsius, the season’s lowest until now, and the minimum temperature was recorded at 3.4 degrees Celsius. The weathermen said both the maximum and minimum temperatures recorded on Thursday were three degrees below normal.
This is the lowest maximum temperature of this winter so far.
Though winter season is at its peak, western disturbances passing through the region have further caused the temperature to drop.
