Cold conditions abated in Punjab and Haryana as the minimum temperature rose in the region.

In Punjab, Ludhiana registered a low of 11.5 degrees Celsius, while the minimum at Patiala settled at 11.3 deg C.

The minimum at Amritsar was 8.8 deg C.

While, Chandigarh registered a low of 11.5 deg C, three above normal.

Ambala in Haryana recorded a minimum of 10.3 deg C, while the low at Karnal settled at 11 deg C. Hisar recorded a minimum of 12.8 deg C.

The weather was overcast at some places, Met department said.
