Chander Mohan, who is the father of one of the killed students was praying at Golden Temple to thank the God as he could get visa for his son to study abroad but unfortunately this incident has broken all their hopes.

Five students were travelling in a Honda City car when the vehicle thrusted into a roadside tree near Khuda Ali Sher, Chandigarh, at about 11pm on Saturday night. They had come to PEC university to attend the festival and were going back to Panchkula.

The lifeless have been identified as Anish Garg (16), Karan Sharma (19) and Chinmey Walia (18). All of three belonged to Panchkula. The 2 injured students have been recognized as Gaurav (17) and Aditya (18), who have been admitted to Fortis hospital in SAS Nagar and PGIMER, Chandigarh, respectively.

Chinmay was perusing engineering from Chandigarh College of Engineering and Technology in Sector 26; Aditya and Anish were perusing engineering from Chitkara University. Karan had passed Class 12 and had applied to move abroad for further study.

Reason for the tragedy was the bursting of car tyres which led to loosing control and vehicle thrusted into a roadside tree,”Police officials says.
