The Court Of Chief Judicial Magistrate, Anubhav Sharma, has drag up UT police for capture beggars in Burail Jail and creating a false explanation of the Haryana Prevention of Beggary Act applicable in UT.
According to court the Beggary Act does not define an offence punished by custody or fine. And the court also absolute disapproval of the orders as on August 19 the UT police are ordered to free all beggars from Burail Jail. But they still did’nt act on this order and they are again capturing beggars and applying Section 173.
