The Punjab and Haryana High Court has crushed no words to say that a jhuggi resident in Chandigarh was underprivileged of his rights by “some bad elements and government officials”.

Justice Paramjeet Singh also declare that it is the duty of the Administration to check that the eligible person should get there rights and benefits from the policies that are made for the uplift of poor persons

The Chandigarh Administration, subsequently, found 18 jhuggi colonies in which people are living in unhygienic conditions and in improper accommodation. So there are benefits for their welfare and they must get them.
