On the occasion of Raksha Bandhan markets are overflowed with different kinds of Rakhis. This time Cartoon Rakhis like Minions, Angry Birds and Doraemon rakhis which are favorites of children’s. Price of these Rakhis is from 50 to Rs 200.
There is also a themed cartoon Rakhi set for children’s which have pencils, eraser, sharpener and ruler with the Rakhi. Chinese Rakhis are also making ways in the City Beautiful via Delhi.
This year there are colourful stone Rakhis like Zerken, Ruby, Swarwoski and Kundan rakhis. Price of these Rakhis was Rs 450 and also sold in vast numbers. Some people preferred simple thread Rakhis and some preferred fancy Rakhis.
Most of the peoples are preferring to buying Chocolates, Cakes and Dry Fruits this year instead of traditional sweets. But some people preferred to buy sweets to follow the tradition. But this year sales of sweets is dropped. So the shopkeepers opened stalls which provides Chocolates, Cakes and Dry Fruits to avoid losses.
Gifts market has also dropped sales this year . Online shopping is the reason behind it. Gift shops only have mugs, photo frames and greeting cards and online shopping provides each and everything that you want to buy. Sales is dropping each year so the shopkeepers are worried.
