Infosys and PGI has signed a MoU which stands for memorandum of understanding. PGI told to Infosys that to develop a system on anesthesia information which helps the patients and hospitals in patient care and streamline operations.

A remote patient monitoring solution would be included in this system which collects the information from vital signs monitors, infusion pumps and ventilators in the operation theatres. And also this system will be remotely analysed and monitored.With the help of this system doctors and health care providers can see a patient’s health parameters from distant locations. This system can be accessed through a desktop or web application.

Name of this system is The anesthesia information management system which is particularly developed for electronic health record system. This system would be developed and deployed in five stages in PGI and it includes pediatric , advanced trauma departments ,cardiac and among others.

Dr GD Puri who is the Professor and head of the Department of Anesthesiology and Intensive Care in PGI told that with the help of this system more critical aspects of patients health will be focused and safety of patients will be also increased.
