Nigerian heroin peddler Joel Michael, arrested in Chandigarh recently, had been living in Sector 80, Mohali, without being registered with the local foreigner registration office (FRO) raising serious concerns.The finding came to light when the district police started scrutinizing Michael’s antecedents in the foreign records, but found nothing. Sources said that while around 60 Nigerians are registered with the local FRO, the concerned branch is also clueless about the two women sharing the rented accommodation with Michael.Meanwhile, the operations cell of Chandigarh Police, which arrested the peddler on August 22, has also sought a report on Michael from Mohali FRO.
