Health Department asked for more Manpower for Door to Door Survey

As looking towards the increase in the cases of dengue patients, the Health department has decided to start a door to door survey to keep in check the breeding of mosquitoes. It has been reported that till date there were 313 dengue patients and 16 more cases has been analyzed in the other hospitals.

Further, the Health Director V K Ganeja has organized a meeting and asked to arrange for volunteers who can perform the task. Now, the Chandigarh administration has been informed about this process and the SDM (South) Kashish Mittal in the evening has asked the National Service Scheme (NSS) to provide the relevant volunteers.

The Dengue Control Nodal Officer Dr. Anil Garg has said that there are about 2.5 lakh houses in the city and near about 65000 houses has been surveyed by 100 teams in the last 3 days. The volunteers of NSS will join the department and start the survey from Wednesday.
