An exhibition held at Chandigarh city, Kisan Bhavan which is located in sector-35 organized by the Education Department of Chandigarh and presented by the 12th standard students opting for vocational courses. The exhibition was all about garments for teenagers, women and other items designed by the students themselves.
Fashion designing introduced as a vocational course at 9 Government Senior Secondary schools whereas printing and textile designing opened at two of them only. The event was inaugurated by none other than Mr B.L. Sharma who is the Education Secretary of the city.
The workshops have been held at the schools creating a professional environment for kids to experience. Cutting, designing, tailoring clothes all by their own has proven to bring out best in students. Students of all age groups work under one roof which helps them in learning a lot from one another too as everybody has their own taste and unique ideas. The prices of the clothing have been decided and labelled by the students also. All and all it was a great experience for learners.
