City experience warmest new year after 45 years

The city experienced the warmest night in the past 45 years this year with the minimum temperature touching 18.5°C, two degrees above normal. According to the Met Department, during the past 45 years, the highest minimum temperature has generally hovered between 15°C and 17°C, but this year it was 18.5°C.
