Digital India Week STPI Mohali

STPI-Mohali regarding participation in "Digital India Week" scheduled for 3rd July 2015 at 11 AM in M/s. Infosys Ltd., Chandigarh Department of Electronics & Information Technology (DeitY), Ministry of Communications & IT, Government of India is organizing the “Digital India Week” which will be inaugurated by Hon'ble Prime Minister on 1st July 2015, at 4.00 p.m. IST. The venue of the event is IG Stadium, New Delhi. The “Digital India Week” is a flagship programme of Government of India, aims to transform India into a digitally empowered society and knowledge economy. It is intended to inform, educate and engage citizens through organization of events at large number of Digital Points of Presence like CSCs, Post Offices, Industries, Schools, Gram Panchayats and connect all netizens through Digital Media campaigns and events so that vision, services and benefits of the programs could be conveyed. This will help in popularizing and expanding the reach of existing e-services, plan and launch new services as well as educate citizens on functional digital literacy, cyber security, cyber hygiene, ensuring better utilization of digital infrastructure during the “Digital India Week” and beyond. The proposed event is expected to be attended by Ministers, senior government officials, academicians, CEOs of leading industries in India and abroad. All the STPI member companies are cordially invited to attend the event accompanied by maximum possible number of employees of their company to make the occasion a grand success.
