Kalam wanted state as tech hub

Dr APJ Abdul Kalam had a great affinity with people of Punjab for their chivalry and cherished their ability to turn around the state's economy of Punjab with the hard work poured in by them to bring about green revolution in late sixties and early seventies. Kalam had always dreamt of making Punjab a technology leader of India for he knew very well Punjabis' ability to do hard work and their capability to bring about a change in economy by way of industrial revolution.
