Man gets anxiety attack after getting 10-year jail

An accused in an NDPS case had to be hospitalised when he was awarded 10-year imprisonment along with his co-accused in the district courts today. They were fined Rs one lakh each today.The accused, Ishpal Singh, fell unconscious when he was being shifted to ‘Bakshikhana’ on the district courts premises after the Mohali court of Additional District and Sessions Judge convicted him and Amandeep Singh, a co-accused in the case, and awarded the sentence to the duo.Ishpal Singh was shifted to Mohali Civil Hospital in Phase VI immediately where he was given treatment.A doctor, attending Ishpal Singh said that he had suffered from an anxiety attack. “Proper treatment has been given to him before discharging him from here”, said the doctor. Ishpal Singh was sent to jail from the hospital.
