Sadiya Siddiqui’s kathak performance on TV Actress Sadiya Siddiqui got an opportunity to put on her kathak outfit and ghunghroos after a gap of two years and perform to Madhuri Dixit-Nene's 'Kahe Chhede Mohe' ('Devdas') for a sequence in her show, 'Satrangi Sasural'. Trained in the dance form for years, television and theatre kept the actress so occupied that she couldn't practise it regularly. "I have been too time-strapped for the riyaaz. But I hope my guru sees my performance on the show and likes it." She even wore her personal kathak outfit and ghungroo for the sequence. "It was on such a short notice that I wasn't too sure if the team would be able to arrange for the outfit. I didn't want to wear a flimsy outfit. Since I am from the Jaipur gharana, stress is more on rhythm, chakkar and foot work. I have been told that the costume should be presentable, but it should never overpower you. Also, my outfit boosted my confidence and transported me to my dancing days," she sums up.
