Tech park to provide 30,000 jobs by 2010: Rodrigues

Park (RGCTP) as a successful experiment that would provide over 30,000 jobs by 2010, UT
administrator Gen (retd) SF Rodrigues on Thursday said the administration was committed to promoting Chandigarh as the next major IT hub of the country.

After inaugurating the e-revolution 2009 conclave jointly organized by UT administration, Punjab and Software Technology Parks of India (STPI), Rodrigues said projects like metro rail, education city and modern terminal market would augment infrastructure in the city to attract big IT companies.More
