Sukhna Lake
Sukhna Lake is one the superb visiting place situated in Chandigarh. This lake was created in 1958. This lake is the creation of Le Corbusier and the Chief Engineer P L Verma and it was like a great gift for Chandigarh. During summer time, there are flow of men, women and kids from all walk of life present charitable service to maintain the lake for about three months. The lake, which was the site for the Asian challenges, has the best ever channel for different events. It also has amenities for different water sports like sculling, water surfing, skiing and boating. Sukhna Lake is the place for many cheerful celebrations. In this lake Mango Festival celebrated very popularly in the monsoons in which different variety of mangoes are on display.
