The state government’s decision to participate in Yoga Day event on June 21 has upset hundreds of employees of the state Civil Secretariat. They are peeved that they have been asked to take part in an event that is held on Sunday. Many of the 2,500 officials also alleged that the mass exercise was aimed at implementing the RSS agenda.

A senior SAD minister requesting anonymity said, “There is no need to convene such a special event at the secretariat.” The Karamchari Association, Civil Secretariat, has decided to call an emergency meeting to discuss the issue.
