Rain brings down mercury in city

Though 21 mm rainfall was received in the peripheral areas, the weatherman recorded less than 1 mm rainfall in the city. Waterlogging near Zirakpur was also reported due to which the traffic chaos was witnessed at various places. The rain also took a toll on the vehicles as many cars and two-wheelers broke down on the waterlogged roads.On Monday, the maximum temperature was recorded at 37.7 degree Celcius, which was one degree below the normal and the minimum temperature was recorded at 28.2 degree Celsius, three notches below the normal.
