The Mohali Police arrested the three persons in the murder case of 30-year-old-bouncer Amit Sharma aka Meet, who was killed some days before outside the temple in the broad daylight.
The Police declared that Gagandeep Singh Dhillon is the main plotter of this murder and his two friends Harjinder Singh aka Laddi and Amandeep singh, aka Mani and also one unidentified person are playing the role of executors in this murder case.
On May 8, 2017 Amit Sharma was shot approximately 11 times when he was leaving the temple with his mother. After that, Amit Sharma was taken to the PGI Hospital, Chandigarh by his mother Roopa Rani, along with the other sightseers.
When they reached to the Hospital, the doctors declared him dead on arrival. After the postmortem,11 bullets were found in his body.
After Investigation, Police Sources said that a .9mm pistol was used in the crime.
After his death, his mother Roopa Rani lodged a complaint against Gagandeep Singh, Sonu Shah and Surjeet, as they all were involved in the gang war with the Meet’s group in Mohali last November. So, on the basis of which his family registered a complaint against them.
The Police found Gagandeep Singh Dhillon, is the main plotter of the crime. He admitted his crime during his investigation, said by Kuldeep Singh Chahal (Mohali Senior Superintendent of Police).
Gagandeep Singh Dhillon, who was lodged at the Nabha jail, now in the custody of the Mohali police on production remand.
Mohali SSP, Kuldeep singh Chahal said Gagandeep singh Dhillon had planned the murder scheme of Meet in the Nabha jail and informed both of his friends Laddi and Mani, and also the hardcore criminals, when they went to meet him during the court legal proceedings in Ropar around two months ago.
After the planning of the murder scheme, both Laddi and Mani started following Meet. As, the victim named Meet was the regular visitor of the saketri temple every Monday, they killed him there on Monday(May 8, 2017).
Gagandeep Singh had also opened fire at Meet along with his three partners Billa, Gurjit Singh aka Gogy and Munish aka Mani, on July 5, 2016, at Sector 26, Chandigarh. When he was unsuccessful in the completion his plan then Gagandeep was asked to killed Meet by his friend Surjit Singh (a bouncer), following some professional rivalry between two bouncer groups at Chandigarh.
After know about the case, the Mohali police have dispatched various groups to Banur, Patiala and certain parts of Himachal Pradesh to grab Laddi , Mani and the third unidentified accused, who are on the run after the Meet’s Murder. The criminals mobile phones are reportedly switched off.
Also, least five cases of thievery, fight and other crimes filed against Laddi at the Zirakpur police station, cleared by the police.
SSP Mr. Chahal said-“Raids are on. They will be soon in the police custody.”and also the third partner of Gagandeep was yet to be identified, said the Mohali police. The police are also confirming whether it was a contract killing or not.
