Bhrigu Lake is a glacial lake that is situated towards the east of the Rohtang pass. This lake, poised between two high-altitude ridges, is frozen solid in the winters making for a spectacular view. The trek begins from Gulaba and takes you through thick forests and grasslands. As you reach the lake, you may even get to view the Dhauladhar and Pir Panjal ranges if the day is clear enough. This 29 km trek is best conducted anytime between May to November, except during the monsoons.

Kareri Lake Trek

This beautiful elliptical lake is perched high up in the Dhauladhar range. The trek begins from Mcleodganj, reaches the Dal Lake, go through forests and over wooden bridges across the Gaj River. From here, you will reach Ghera and continue onto Kareri Village trekking over a steep ascent. Kareri Lake is 13 km from the village. September to October is the best time to go on a Kareri Lake trek.

Beas Kund Trek

 

This trek is a short trail that takes you to the origin point of the Beas River. The trek will begin at Dhundi and is 6 km long. Along the trail, you can see stunning meadows strewn with wildflowers near the Beas River. You will also have a backdrop of the Deo Tibba and the Indrasen peaks along this trail. As you reach the Beas Kund Valley, you will notice waterfalls and rivulets, before you come upon the attraction of the trek. This entire trail is set under snow in the winter; hence, the best time to trek here would be from mid-May to mid-October.

Kheer Ganga Trek

Kheer Ganga is meadow which is home to natural hot springs. This trek in the Parvati Valley is one of the best trekking opportunities that you will have. The trek starts from Kasol, goes through Barshaini, and Tosh Rivers. 8 km ahead of here is where the Kheer Ganga is located, as you pass the Nakthan village and the Rudranag temple. These hot springs are best visited in July and August.
