I’ve been looking to grab some Astar (ASTR) and saw that Paybis might have it with M‑PESA. Since I’m in Kenya, M‑PESA is my go‑to for payments. Before I go through the hassle of signing up, I wanted to know if anyone has actually bought Astar using M‑PESA on Paybis recently. Is the option still live? How smooth is the process? I’d rather not go through verification if I can avoid it with a smaller amount. Would appreciate any firsthand info.
I tried to find that exact option earlier this week and it looks like the dedicated page https://paybis.com/buy-astar-parachain-with-mpesa/ is no longer available (returns a 404). I checked the main Paybis site and M‑PESA is still listed as a payment method, but not for all coins. Astar might not be supported directly with M‑PESA right now. What you could do is buy a more widely supported crypto like USDT or BTC with M‑PESA on Paybis, then swap or bridge to ASTR on another exchange. Alternatively, check if Paybis offers ASTR with other payment methods (card, bank transfer) that still work in your region. Hope that helps—would love to hear if anyone else has found a direct M‑PESA route.
