    Teej was celebrated at Guru Gobind Singh College for Women, Sector 26, on Monday with a ‘Miss Teej’ competition followed by mehndi, phulkari design and ‘parandi-tying’ competition.The swing ropes in the college ground were decorated with flowers and students danced to the tunes of Punjabi music and delicacies like “Kheer Poora” were also served to add to the occasion. Girls of the college could be seen thronging around the bangles’ stall.Principal Charanjeet Kaur Sohi and other visitors were gracefully welcomed in traditional style by college students. Samriti of BCom third year won the ‘Miss Teej’ title.
