During exams the Higher Authority of Panjab University (PU) will provide bus service to girl students from the college library to the hostels.
This proposal was suggested by the Panjab University Campus Students Council (PUCSC) mainly for security of girls who wants to study at night in the library during exams but cannot return back to their hostels alone.
The bus will work from 9pm to 11:30 pm. The president said that the girls gave many complaints to her regarding safety issues so now girls will study at night also. The students council has also wish that Dean Student Welfare (DSW) Professor Navdeep Goyal to provide the night passes to girl students during the examinations so they can return back to their hostels without paying late fees at entry gate.
Normally girl students have to be in the hostel at 10:30 pm and they are allowed for 6 late entries. But now girls can easily study late night and returned to their hostel without problem. But the passes are approved for exams only.
