PEC University of Technology will get boosted by the IIT brand to upgrade the level of institution. This concept will help the students and also increase the quality of institutions nearby the places of Chandigarh.
However, Punjab Engineering College is already a part of Chandigarh Region Innovation and Knowledge Cluster (CRIKC), so it comes across centrally funded institute which will help in the up-gradation of the university.
It has been said by the students that-“If their institution will get the benefit of IIT brand then the name of the city will also raise and also more companies will come to the campus for the placements.” The Deputy Director of PEC Mr. Sanjeev Sofat has expressed that the infrastructure and the research department will also get refined. He also added that the IIT brand will transform the Tricity into an educational hub.
