President Pranab Mukherjee is arriving today in Chandigarh and it has been declared that the residents of Chandigarh will not face any inconvenience during the visit. He is visiting to Chandigarh to attend the conference at the Centre for Research in Rural and Industrial Development (CRRID) and then he will also attend the inauguration function of the international conference on the project/programme ‘Cooperative Development’, Peace and Security in South and Central Asia’ at CRRID today evening.
During the conference, the Governor of Haryana Kaptan Singh Solanki, Chief Minister of Haryana Manohar Lal Khattar and Chief Minister of Punjab Prakash Singh Badal will also attend the event. It has been also scheduled that the former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh will attend the conference of CRRID in October 1 in Chandigarh. CRRID comes among the top 27 research centers in the country and also supported by the Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR) New Delhi.
However, after the visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the people of Chandigarh has faced a lot of problems but now the centre has issued a notice that proper balance will be maintained between the security and convenience of the people during the visit of dignitaries.
