    Thousands of diploma holders, who applied for 520 posts of constable in the UT police, were in shock when the Police Department, which had mentioned the minimum qualification as Class XII or equivalent, rejected their application forms even though the diploma is considered equivalent to Class XII. The department has received 2.40 lakh applications for the 520 posts.

    After the scrutiny of the forms, the physical efficiency and measurement test will be held followed by a written test.
