With kingmaker and independent councillor Kulwant Singh keeping all cards close to his chest, uncertainty prevailed till Monday night over who will be elected the first mayor of Mohali today.Elections for mayor, senior mayor and deputy mayor will be held at the Mohali municipal corporation office at 11 am on Tuesday.
In the 50-member house, SAD-BJP combine has 23 seats, Congress has 15 and there are 11 independent candidates led by Kulwant Singh. One seat had fallen vacant following the death of Amteshwar Kaur, who was elected councillor from ward number 29.
