Is the government-run tertiary institute of research and medical care, PGIMER, providing affordable healthcare? Do we only see the cost of outpatient card (OPD) ticket that costs Rs 10 per patient or is it more? Soon this will be analysed by a third party audit firm. The PGI has decided to conduct the audit to understand the cost of various tests and procedures — how much it costs for consultation in any OPD. The audit shall be complete by next budget session in March next year.
