Looking at a map and considering our destinations is how we begin a road trip plan since we enjoy adding new states to our 50 States Challenge.

When traveling by car from Rochester to Orlando, there are three possible routes.

    Get directions: Mapquest Directions

Depending on traffic, the travel will take between 18 and 19 hours. In actual time, the change is hardly noticeable.

Which direction you go depends on where you might wish to stop along the way. Once you make a choice, you must determine how much driving you want to do each day as well as where you want to stop.

If we have a full day of driving ahead of us, we’ll bring snacks and lunch (see out this article for ideas: Road Trip Food List for an Awesome Family Road Trip), and we’ll schedule a dinner stop at a cool restaurant for an hour later.

Everyone can be refreshed and find it easier to continue driving after an hour-long break for stretching and eating.

As our children have grown older, this has become simpler. We had to schedule extra restroom breaks and stretching sessions when kids were smaller.

How long does it take to drive from Florida to New York?

You can go from New York to Florida in one very long day if you have numerous drivers. This is dependent upon how long you can tolerate driving, the age of your children, and your desire to get there as soon as possible.

Florida is often reached by car in a day and a half. We made hotel reservations for two nights on the way down and one night on the way back during our drive.

On the way down, we wanted to take our time and make a few enjoyable pit breaks.

Does traveling by car from New York to Florida cost less?

Depending on the time of year, how many people are traveling with you, and how long it will take you to drive from Florida to New York, it may be more economical to drive.

If your road trip takes you near national or state parks, consider making a stop to explore nature trails, go hiking, or enjoy a picnic amidst picturesque settings. These parks often offer visitor centers with helpful information about the area.Budget travel destinations trips provide an excellent opportunity to visit historic sites and landmarks. Stop by museums, monuments, or historic towns to learn about local history and immerse yourself in the cultural heritage of the region.
