How the BitTorrent protocol works
Transmits to it its address and the hash sum of the files it wants to download. In response, the tracker sends the client the addresses of other PCs that distribute the desired files. Then the tracker periodically sends the client new addresses of the downloading PCs if they appear in the network.
When it comes to downloading a torrent file, the most efficient way to do it is to request tiny pieces of the file from many different people at the same time as packages.
And to signal that you need a particular torrent file, you have to go to any of several torrent sites, the most popular of which is The Pirate Bay. What are tpb torrents here
