The results of the study will be presented at an event being held by San Jose titled “Workshop on Large Scale Exploits and Emergent Threats,” on the 27th of April.
The research focuses mainly on malware-based antivirus programs which are being deliberately promoted across the Internet. The study has looked at more than the 240 millions Web pages and discovered that there are up to 11 000 domains on the internet that promote the spread of malware across the Internet. This research suggests that the Internet isn’t just susceptible to one threat from an attack on the world’s virus but also, there is organized crime being promoted on the Internet.
Another important aspect of the study was the analysis of fake antivirus software. Internet users are typically requested to download fake antivirus programs, but without users being aware that the antivirus program downloads malware or virus that allows hackers to access information on the computer used by the user.
The study is not yet be published, however, it is now a given that companies like Google should be the main players in programs that protect the Internet. This study is the best step towards the right direction. www webroot com secure
