I’ve never made it to the place to the site to view it. I’m a fool.
Its most significant flaw, which could also be its greatest advantage, is one used by nearly every other game: its longevity. In between the exhilarating adventures and intense PvP battles is the endless grinding out of the mundane chores of life like mining, fishing, or cooking to get up or earn credits to buy that pesky new piece of armor. Gotta make money somehow, right?
While these activities may be relaxing, it’s time that is spent doing the same thing repeated over and over again – time that could or might not be better spent around with some shorter, but certainly no less popular video games.
As opposed to being a one-sided battle, RuneScape is a painstaking conflict of attrition, which is both long and grueling, and never ends. However, it’s very rewarding if you’re willing to put the time into it, which I was. At the very least, for a whole one or two years.
I’ve never played any MMORPGs from now on, to my eternal sorrow and shame. Life’s demands are a lot more intense and I don’t have time to let them lure me in. Of all the games it is the most tedious, with numerous levels to conquer and various items to gather. Many have even died in the course of endless sessions of RuneScape’s younger but more popular sibling World of Warcraft osrs inferno cape, which is what makes it one of the most terrifying games.
