The Chandigarh Administration along with Governments of Punjab and Haryana will organise ‘e-Revolution 2008’ to promote this region for information and communication technology (ICT) industry.The event, fourth in the series of international conclaves to be held on August 7 and 8, will draw business delegations, academicians, visitors, speakers and government dignitaries from all over the country.

It opens up tremendous opportunities to learn best practices for business with small, medium and large companies. More than 700 delegates are expected to participate this year.

The key highlights of the conclave will include an array of keynote presentation from Industry stalwarts and panel discussion by the entrepreneurs, Chief Executive Officers (CEOs) and other industry experts.

The participants will discuss issues on creating conducive business environment, ecosystem for sustaining IT talent, new technology trends and opportunities, ICT investment scenario and entrepreneurship story-board.

New initiatives like mentoring sessions and deal flow will be included this year for the first time, besides there will be special focus on growing entrepreneurship in the region and also corporate social responsibility will be discussed, the Administration said.

Earlier in the past, the event has seen high level of participation from decision makers representing various ICT industries.

In 2007 the mega ICT event focused on achieving excellence, development of an enabling eco-system and promoting entrepreneurship in participation with TiE and Indian Angels Network.
