Modalert 200 (Modafinil) is a central stimulant that is chemically related to adrafinil. It’s used to treat narcolepsy, obstructive sleep apnea, and shift work sleep problems that induce tiredness throughout the day. To treat narcolepsy or obstructive sleep apnea, Modalert 200 (modafinil) is used orally in doses ranging from 200 to 400 mg per day, divided into two doses in the morning and afternoon, or as a single dose in the morning. For the treatment of shift work sleep disturbances, a daily dose of 200 mg is given 1 hour before work. A initial dosage of 100 mg per day is indicated for the elderly, which should be modified as required.
