Finally the tricity is directly connected with Dubai. A direct flight from the international airport of the tricity to Dubai has been started. Yesterday at 4:05 Pm Airbus A-320 of the IndiGo Airlines which has 180 seats take off from international airport .
Airbus A-320 take off with 127 passengers who are departed form international airport amidst much fanfare with a brief ceremony.
Vijay Matta Associate Vice-President of IndiGo and Gurpreet Singh Bhullar Senior Superintendent of Mohali Police cut the cake in this ceremony and also lighting of a traditional lamp is done by them. By the IndiGo staff some of the passengers who boarded on the Airbus A-320 has been given rose buds.
This is a direct and non stop flight. It takes 3:30 hours to reach its destination. This flight reached at 7.35 Pm in Dubai. Also the same flight from Dubai with 90 passengers reached at international airport Chandigarh at 11.10 Am.
Vijay Matta told that we are getting good response and this is very motivating for us. Around 60 to 70 percent occupancy rate in the coming days. And we are hoping that we will be getting tremendous business from here . Most of the passengers on the flight were from the tricity. And at all inclusive return fare of Rs 9,999 a daily flight is available.
