The student of Panjab University (PU) had developed a Software that can help to create full face of a person which is really helpful for Police in Identification Process. The research was coordinated by a PhD girl named, Paramjit Kaur a Research intellectual at the Centre for Systems Biology and Bioinformatics.

This software will have ability to reconstruct the face of any criminal from a half facial pose that was captured in the CCTV footage. The name that is given to the Software is Face Recognition.

The trial of this Software was processed on five different females in the campus and the accurate face was developed through it. The girl explained that the image of CCTV  Camera, Facial Identification was done by comparing the images based on the site of crime.

Sometimes full image is not available in CCTV camera but only just half or blur image is available the software could generate a complete face from the half frontal profile of the face.

This software is really beneficial for Police and other Investigation Agencies for Reconstruction of the face when half face is captured by camera.

The Research of the Software is accepted in the 68th Annual Conference of American Academy of Forensic Sciences that will be held in Las Vegas, USA, from February 22 to 27, 2016.
