The Chandigarh MC has decided to organise the Rose festival from February 17 to 19.Today a preliminary meeting was held under the Chairmanship of MC Commissioner B Purushartha. In this meeting all the senior officers of the different departments of MC as well as Chandigarh administration were present.
During this preliminary meeting it was decided to add two new events, that includes a competition for the newlywed couples for which the prize would a free honeymoon trip . This honeymoon trip would be sponsored by MC. And the second event which is included in Rose Festival this time will be the craft exhibition as well as competition.
Rest all the competitions will remain the same as the previous year, including flower and rangoli competition, rose prince and rose princess competition, Brass and pipe band competition, On-the-spot painting competition, rose quiz competition, photography competition, folk dance competition, antakshari, kite flying competition, rose king & rose queen competition , Mr & Ms rose competition, floral hat competition and many more attractions.
